Windows Ultimate users today were treated to a Technology Preview of DreamScene. DreamScene is an Ultimate Extra that allows users to play video clips as a desktop background. The preview shipped with only one video, the default Windows Vista background with a cool light affect applied. (see video)
Stardocks, the guys who created the video included in the technology preview, have also come out with an add-on product called DeskScapes that is free of change and enhances the capabilities of DreamScene by adding support for .dream files. These .dream files can be used to add dynamic content to your animated backgrounds. For more information check out their site here.
