Microsoft shared with us a whitepaper on Windows Search technology designed to provide on overview for business customers the value in search and to share more information on the Microsoft offering. Its also worth reading if you simply interested in search.
If you haven't been looking how your organization can derive business value from client side search tools then you really should take a look the savings can be significant. Even if you have and are using products like X1 or Coveo on Windows XP it is still probably worth a read to understand the Microsoft offering and to allow you to phase those out as you transition to Windows Vista.
